(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Colorado State Patrol is currently investigating a pursuit that ensued while a Trooper performed a traffic stop on Monday morning, March 31. At around 4 a.m., a Colorado State Trooper was on a traffic stop on I-25, south of Briargate Parkway, when a Honda Odyssey almost s ideswiped the Trooper. Due to safety concerns for other drivers, the Trooper pursued the Honda, and a second Trooper assisted with the pursuit. One of the troopers performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI), and the pursuit ended at Highway 83, south of Northgate. The driver and the passenger were detained and taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No Troopers were injured. The two patrol vehicles had minor damage.
