WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – One person has been arrested and charged with murder after a man was found dead inside a home Sunday morning. According to Kentucky State Police, they were contacted by Wayne County 911 for a man found dead outside a home in Monticello on Cart Bell Ridge Road from an apparent gunshot wound. The man was later identified as 46-year-old Berry Rainer Rose III. The Sheriff’s Office reportedly determined foul play may have been involved. According to KSP, Rose was pronounced dead at the scene by the Wayne County Coroner’s Office. A release from state police says that after an investigation, 60-year-old Norman E. McGuire from Monticello was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection to Rose’s death. An investigation remains ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
