HAMMOND, Ind. — Two people were killed and three others were wounded in a shooting early Sunday morning at a pub in Hammond, Ind. According to the Hammond Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 4 a.m. at Portside Pub, located at 1516 Indianapolis Boulevard. Upon arri val, officers found that five people had been shot there. 6 transported to hospital, 5 with critical injuries, after Kenwood apartment fire overnight: CFD Two of the victims died at the scene, police say, and three others were taken to a local hospital. Of those three, police say two remained in serious condition and one was in stable condition as of early Sunday afternoon. The identities of the two people killed are being withheld until their families can be notified. According to police, preliminary information indicates the incident was domestic-related. At around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, the Hammond Police Department said the person of interest in the shooting had been taken into custody. His identity has not yet been released. Indianapolis Blvd. remained open in both directions, except for one southbound lane that was temporarily closed, as officers continued their investigation.
