Former DC Council member Trayon White teases reelection campaign on social media after expulsion in February

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Trayon White teased his re-election campaign on social media after he was expelled last month by the D.C. Council following his indictment on federal bribery charges.
On Sunday, White said in a post on Instagram that his re-election campaign "starts tomorrow."

This comes after 12 voting D.C. Council members unanimously voted to expel White, who was representing Ward 8, on February 4.
White was arrested and indicted by the FBI on federal bribery charges last year. He was accused of accepting cash in exchange for his influence on city contracts. He pleaded not guilty.
