Inmate dies at Riverside County Detention Center; investigation underway

A male inmate was pronounced dead on Sunday, March 30 while in custody at the Robert Presley Detention Center, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced.
Deputies found the unresponsive man in his cell and attempted life-saving measures, but paramedics pronounced him dead.
The inmate was
identified as 49-year-old Stephen Alan Frost of Riverside.
Frost was booked March 25 on suspicion of public intoxication and obstructing an officer, with a felony revocation hearing for a possible probation or parole violation, according to inmate records. He was being held without bail and had an out-of-county warrant.
Investigators said there were no signs of foul play. The sheriff’s department is investigating the death.
