MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A teenager was detained this weekend after he crashed a stolen car.
On Saturday at 5:36 p.m., officers responded to a robbery call in the 1900 block of Tulsa.
Officers spoke with a victim who told them that an unknown man approached him at Denver Park and robbed him.

ictim said he was sitting on a bench at Denver Park when the suspect allegedly approached him with a black rifle and told the victim, "Give me all your s---. Empty your pockets."
The victim said the suspect was pointing the rifle at him while he was giving him various items from his person.
The victim told officers that the items taken from his person and his vehicle included: his keys, his Android REVVL7 phone, and his wallet.
The wallet contained a locked bank card, two $100 bills, two $20 bills and his ID.

After the victim gave the suspects the items, the suspect allegedly struck the victim on the back of his head with the rifle and drove away in his black 2016 Nissan Altima.
The victim described the suspect as a male wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, a durag and black shorts. The victim said that the suspect was about 6'0" with a slim build.
The victim said his stolen vehicle had two large dents on the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle from a previous accident.
The victim was taken to Methodist Germantown in non-critical condition.
On Sunday at 4 a.m., officers patrolling the area of Frayser Blvd traveling westbound saw a black vehicle run a stop sign. The suspect's vehicle was traveling eastbound on Hallbrook.
An officer attempted to catch up with the vehicle and was able to catch up to it on Church Point and Mountain Terrace.

The officer ran the tag and it came back as the vehicle that was taken during the previous day's robbery.
The officer attempted to do a traffic stop at Point Church and Trezevant Street, but the vehicle refused to stop, which led to a chase.
Officers pursued the vehicle all the way to Whitney and N Watkins, where it left the roadway and sideswiped a tree.
Police said three males jumped out of the running car and they chased the driver on foot down Whitney Avenue.
The suspect was apprehended and it was later learned that he was 15-years-old. ...read more read less
