MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man was detained Sunday afternoon after a child accidentally shot themself, Memphis Police confirmed. At 12:51 pm, officers responded to a shooting victim arriving at 2034 S Lauderdale. A child was injured and taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and is in stable condit ion. Police said preliminary information indicates that the shooting was self-inflicted and accidental. A man has been detained.
