WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) -- Early Sunday morning, 32 local veterans boarded a flight from T.F. Green Airport to Washington, D.C., taking part in an Honor Flight to see monuments and memorials dedicated to their service.
Among them was Navy Veteran Will Barbeau, who 12 News surprised with a free trip
to take part on the Honor Flight on Street Stories earlier this month.

12 News military analyst Lieutenant General Reginald Centracchio and Director of Rhode island's Office of Veterans services Kasim Yarn also traveled with the Veterans.
The Rhode island Fire Chiefs Honor Flight Hub has flown about 1,000 Veterans to D.C. over the years.
