The airline has been producing trading cards since 2003 when it released a limited edition MD-11 card in honor of the aircraft's retirement in 2004. Since then, the collection of trading cards has expanded to include seven series and 68 unique cards.
Like Pokémon and baseball cards, some fans have collected them all. Delta confirmed to Nexstar that it is aware of "several customers and employees that have collected all 68" cards.
The newest cards to the set — which have a "fresh, eye-catching design" that features new colors and branding to help celebrate Delta's 100th anniversary — marks the seventh installation in the collection. You can see this year's cards below.

Each card represents a different aircraft from Delta's mainline or Delta Connection fleets and includes aircraft stats on the back.
"Delta pilots have handed out millions of trading cards over the past 22 years, with over 3 million distributed in 2024 alone," said Ryan Gumm, the Senior Vice President of Flight Operations for Delta. "This simple, yet impactful interaction between our pilots and customers elevates and enriches the flight experience - and has created meaningful connections and memorable moments along the way."
The centennial set, which debuted Tuesday, will include cards for the A220-300, 717, 737-800, A321NEO, 757-200, 767-300, A330-900, and the A350. Customers flying on Delta Connection flights will be able to receive cards showcasing the CRJ-900 and E175, depending on the carrier.

You'll want to ask your pilot while boarding or during deplaning for a card, Delta says. Others on social media claimed some flight attendants have also been able to provide cards.
Due to the anticipated popularity of the trading cards, Delta officials said the company is producing more than 5 million cards to be handed out to customers on Delta flights.
It's unclear when the next slew of aircraft will join Delta's card collection. The company tells Nexstar it releases a new series every few years but keeps the exact drop date a secret for the excitement.
In addition to the cards that debuted Tuesday, Delta says "limited-edition" cards with "certain special livery aircraft" will be released throughout the year. The first is the airline's Centennial-themed A321.
