CHESTER, S.C. – A suspect wanted for serious and violent criminal charges was arrested Saturday in Chester County, according to the sheriff’s office. Laurkeia Montgomery had outstanding arrest warrants from three different law enforcement agencies. He was wanted for weapons violations by the U nited States Marshals Service, 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, and 2nd degree assault and battery by the Lancaster Police Department. Deputies said Montgomery attempted to evade arrest by giving them false identification. They were able to successfully uncover his true identity and took him into custody. Montgomery was also found in possession of illegal substances that included cocaine, ecstasy, and THC Wax, the sheriff’s office said.
