CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Joshua Farmer is the owner of High Sierra Tattoo Co., a businessman and a pillar in the Clovis community. Now, after holding fundraisers to help fellow motorcyclists and their families in need, he is the one who needs help. Joshua Farmer was involved in a motorcycl e crash on March 22 leaving him in critical condition. On Saturday, High Sierra Tattoo Co. was full of loyal customers, family and friends as they raised money to help him. ‘He’s not done here’: Clovis rallies around critically injured tattoo artist “I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t speak for a while,” Joshua Farmer’s sister Rashel Garcia said. Joshua’s family and fellow artists knew they had to help. “All of the artists that work here, as well as two guest artists that have donated their time to do flash tattoos. Essentially a set of tattoo art that’s already been designed ahead of time,” Amber Graham with High Sierra Tattoo Co. said. Miranda Romero was one of the more than 80 people that got a tattoo on Saturday. Her uncle, Joshua Cowdrey, died in a motorcycle accident last August. Cowdrey and Farmer were good friends. “I'm not just here for Josh, but also my Uncle Josh, who died in a motorcycle accident. And so we're kind of this is my way of remembrance of my Uncle Josh and also because he knew Joshua Farmer,” Joshua Cowdrey’s niece Miranda Romero said. A permanent bond and lasting impression. We spoke to Farmer last year at Cowdrey’s fundraiser. He shared a story from the first day he met Cowdrey. “I was tattooing and I heard in the background, ‘I would like to see if I could work here, and I'm here to add value to the shop.’ and I was like, “I like this guy already and I don't even know him,” Joshua Farmer said in an interview in August 2024. Farmer always uses his tattoo shop for good. “We don't want to have to come back every few months because another family member, you know, got in an accident or got killed because they're just trying to enjoy their day,” Romero said. Now, the good he’s given to the community is coming back to him. “So many people are even reaching out just to help us, bringing us meals, donating money to go towards food. We've had people donate money so that we have our room paid for,” Garcia said. As Joshua’s family waits for good news. “I can’t leave until I hear my brother's voice,” Garcia said.
