INDIANAPOLIS — A police chase involving a stolen construction vehicle slowed traffic on Indianapolis interstates on Saturday. According to a media notification from the Indiana Department of Transportation, police began chasing a person driving a stolen construction vehicle on Interstate 465 ea stbound near East Street. The chase continued onto Interstate 65 northbound around 9:38 p.m. Indiana State Police confirmed the construction vehicle was no longer on the interstate at 10:22 p.m. ISP also reported that the chase ended on local Indianapolis roadways sometime before 11:28 p.m. Troopers apprehended a suspect at the end of the pursuit. ISP has yet to publicly identify the suspect. INDOT reported that the stolen construction vehicle was moving at 4 mph during the chase. INDOT and ISP have not confirmed exactly where the chase ended.
