Train hits car on the east side – News 8 at 11 INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department on Saturday is investigating a possible train collision on the city’s east side. Around 10:07 p.m. Saturday, IMPD officers were dispatched to the intersection of Massachu setts Avenue and North Rural Street on a report of an accident. That is on the city’s east side. After officers arrived to the scene, they found a train stopped on the tracks with a vehicle in front of it. The vehicle’s taillights were blinking, the passenger door was open, and a window was cracked. Investigators told News 8 that no one was hurt in the incident.
