WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Now that the cherry blossoms along the Tidal Basin have reached their peak bloom, you may be wondering: is Fido invited? Here are the pup-friendly events that your four-legged friends can attend: Cherry blossoms hit peak bloom, drawing large crowds to DC’s Ti dal Basin National Cherry Blossom Festival The festival, which runs until April 13, allows pets to join your trek around the Tidal Basin, as long as they're leashed. All dogs are invited if they are well-behaved and can be comfortable in crowded and noisy environments. Owners need to pick up after them and keep them close as other people, kids and dogs pass by. Petalpalooza Everyone, Fido included, is welcome to romp along the Anacostia River for Petalpalooza on Saturday, April 5 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. The day will include artsy activities, live music, a fireworks show and more.
