On Monday, a major cold front moves in, and widespread showers and thunderstorms are forecast late into the afternoon and evening. The greatest threat from any Monday storm will be damaging winds, but hail and tornadoes are also possible. Thursday's storm will head into Canada by Friday, allowing its cold front to stall near the DMV.
