FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Fire Department said it responded to a report of multiple boats overturning at residents along the pond on Saturday. The department said the boats belonged to the Tabor Academy rowing team, who were practicing after a meet at the pond was cancelled due t o “high winds and rough water conditions.” By the time firefighters arrived all individuals on the team were on shore. A total of 18 students and one coach were evaluated on scene for cold exposure and other minor injuries, with some transported to the hospital.
