37yearold woman dies in fiery crash Friday night near Ponca City

PONCA CITY, Okla. (KFOR) — A 37-year-old woman died late Friday night following a fiery crash near Ponca City.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) officials say the crash happened around 11:45 p.m. Friday near U.S. 77 and Coleman Road, one mile north of Ponca City.
Shannon Laird, who was traveling
east in a 2009 Pontiac on Coleman Road, did not yield at a stop sign and proceeded to cross in front of another car, which was traveling south on U.S. 77, before being hit by a driver in a 2023 Hyundai, according to OHP.
Two dead following collision in Custer County
Authorities said the Hyundai struck the driver side of Laird's Pontiac before both vehicles were sent into the center median. The Pontiac caught on fire after striking the median.
Laird was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two people in the Hyundai were transported to Integris Health, where they were treated for minor injuries.
