NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) -- Newport News Police are investigating a homicide on Marshall Avenue Saturday afternoon. According to officials, just after 3:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Marshall Avenue for reports of a deceased person. Officers arrived to the scene and found an adult female inside a residence who was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medics. The cause of death remains under investigation.
