With longer days and warmer weather on the horizon, Painesville City and Concord Township are promoting their plans for free summer concerts this year.

Painesville’s website stated that make-up dates will be scheduled in August as needed.
It added that outside food is allowed. The city encourages residents to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets or picnics.
“We hope to offer a good, artsy experience,” said city Recreation Supervisor Justin Gollin, who described the square as a “very nice environment, nice setting to listen to music and have a bit to eat.”
Gollin said that the format will be “pretty consistent with past years” and feature both new and returning acts. He added that visitors can check the city’s Facebook page for information on weather-related cancellations.
Painesville Square is also set to host the Painesville Community Improvement Corporation’s annual Party in the Park from July 18-20. PCIC describes the event as “Ohio’s largest free outdoor music festival.”
Just a few miles away, Concord Township will kick off its 2025 Summer Concert Series on June 12, with performances set to run every Thursday until July 31. Each performance will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Town Hall Gazebo, 7229 Ravenna Road.
The township said that visitors can expect the following performances:
