(KRON) -- Today's forecast is for dry conditions, cooler-than-average temperatures, and light winds. Several rounds of rain will affect the Bay area between tonight and mid-to-late week.
Rain begins this evening and spreads eastward through the night, with measurable precipitation across the Bay A
rea. Rainfall coverage and intensity will start to diminish by Sunday afternoon.
This system will bring widespread rain to the region, with the greatest accumulations in the coastal ranges. It will be windy, with widespread wind gusts of 20 mph, and up to 45 mph along the immediate coast, in the higher terrain, and through gaps and passes.

Computer models leave quite a bit of uncertainty in terms of rainfall and thus impacts, which is unusual this close to an event. The official forecast for rainfall totals has trended downward, the current forecast is for 1.50 inches in the North Bay Mountains, with coastal ranges expected to squeeze out the most precipitation. The main effect of this storm will be wet roads.
