BOSTON (WWLP) - A Leominster woman has been indicted for allegedly posing as a professional caregiver at health care agencies and stealing thousands of dollars from elderly victims.
The Attorney General's Office announced on Saturday that indictments have been returned against 33-year-old Regina
Henaku of Leominster. The AGO stated that between August and November 2024, Henaku allegedly stole the identities and professional credentials of a relative and former co-worker to fraudulently pose as a professional caregiver.

Henaku then gained employment at five health care agencies, long-term care facilities, and assisted living facilities. She reportedly worked at each facility for a few weeks, and allegedly stole the credit and debit cards of elderly victims while working.
Henaku would then allegedly use or attempt to use the cards without the victims' knowledge. All of the victims were over the age of 60, and some of the victims were MassHealth members.
The AGO stated that Henaku allegedly stole from victims while working at a long-term care facility in Framingham, a senior living facility in Bedford, and assisted living facilities in Hudson and Leominster, as well as others in Worcester and Middlesex Counties.
Henaku allegedly stole the bank cards of at least 16 elderly victims and successfully used 11 of them to steal approximately $28,000. She was also alleged to have misled local police while being investigated by fraudulently posing as her relative.
On March 20, Henaku was indicted as a result of charges by the AGO on nine counts of Larceny Over $250 From an Elder or Disabled Person, Credit Card Fraud, Attempted Larceny Over $250 from an Elder or Disabled Person, Identity Fraud, and Misleading the Police/Obstruction of Justice.
