Mayor Johnson to honor Savannah Super Bowl Champ Nolan Smith Jr.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) -- The City of Savannah and Mayor Van Johnson will hold a ceremony recognizing Savannah native and Super Bowl Champion, Philadelphia Eagles Outside Linebacker Nolan Smith Jr., on Monday.
This event will be held during Nolan Smith Jr.’s Charity Golf Tournament on March 31.
It will be presented by the Nolan Smith Foundation, which is dedicated to "using the platform and outlet that sports provide to support and inspire communities in need."
The press conference will celebrate Smith’s remarkable achievements in the NFL, his Savannah contributions, and his commitment to philanthropy through his foundation.
“Nolan Smith, Jr. represents the best of Savannah – a relentless work ethic, a passion for excellence, and a deep commitment to giving back to his community,” said Mayor Johnson. “We are proud to celebrate his accomplishments and the impact he continues to make both on and off the field.”
Smith played a pivotal role in the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl victory and continues the work to empower young athletes and fostering educational opportunities through his foundation.
