National Hot Chicken Day INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Tomorrow marks National Hot Chicken Day, so Atomic Wings is celebrating with special promotions and a fiery challenge. Michael Harmon, the owner of Atomic Wings, announced that the restaurant will offer buy one, get one free deals on Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches and tenders in honor of the occasion. “We’re doing quite a few things in the restaurant,” Harmon said. “We have some promos that we’re doing for National Hot Chicken Day.” Atomic Wings is hosting a spicy wing challenge featuring their nuclear sauce, which is the hottest on their menu. Participants who can eat 10 nuclear wings will win a free meal on their next visit. The nuclear wing challenge is a rare feat, as the sauce is extremely hot. “It’s pretty rare, honestly,” Harmon said. If wings soaked in nuclear sauce sounds a bit too spicy for your taste, try some of the other wings available. Atomic Wings spokesperson Jessica Lane said a variety of wings are available, including medium buffalo, Thai chili, Nashville hot, and atomic wing sauce. “The Thai chili is very popular,” she said.
