BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge injury lawyer signed the first female athlete from Southern University to his NIL sponsorship team. According to a social media post, Gordon McKernan signed senior infielder Aylani Ottley to his G-Team. McKernan posted the announcement with the caption, "Making history during Women's History Month!" GoJagSports reports Ottley has a .083 batting average, with three hits, 10 runs and two RBIs this season. She also has a .917 fielding percentage with 18 putouts, 26 assists and four errors. The Jaguar softball team has an overall record of 12-15. In their next matchup, the Jags head to Alexandria to take on the LSU-Alexandria Generals on Tuesday, April 1.
