And for several Berkshire Badgers, such a prospect became a fully embraced reality, albeit, playfully, as they were given free rein to tape Assistant Principal Stan Koterba to
a gymnasium wall.
The action, however, wasn’t malicious or even punitive — simply a fun culmination of “doing the right thing” following a recent food drive that resulted in more than 350 items being donated to the Burton Food Cupboard at Burton Congregational Church, the largest of Geauga County’s five food pantries.
The “unforgettable moment,” described as a combination of charity and fun, was led by student Chris Buyea-McDonald, who organized the event with creative incentive in mind.

As donations poured in, naturally, so did the strips of tape, and by the end of the event, Koterba found himself firmly bound — much to the frenzied delight of students and staff.
School officials praised the students’ efforts, emphasizing the importance of community service and creative ways to encourage engagement.
“This is what makes Berkshire such a special place….” Koterba said. “And the students showed incredible generosity and had fun while doing it.” ...read more read less
