KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police are investigating after a missing persons case led them to a double homicide at a Northland motel room early Saturday night. According to the Kansas City Police Department, at about 3:45 a.m., officers were called to a motel near North Corrington Avenue and Northeast Pa rvin Road -- less than a half-mile from I-435 -- to follow up on a missing persons investigation. Driver caught going 104 mph in 45 mph zone in Overland Park Upon arrival, officers were taken to a motel room where a man and woman were found dead from gunshot wounds. KCPD said the case is being investigated as a double homicide, and detectives are working to find witnesses and determine what led up to the shooting.
