INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Our pattern will be unsettled this weekend coming off of Friday where we hit 80 degrees. Light on/off showers are expected today with severe weather possible on Sunday.
TODAY: Cloudy skies with scattered light on/off showers are expected. Co
verage in these showers will expand to more areas in the afternoon and evening. High temperatures in the low 70s.
TONIGHT: Light on/off showers are likely. The Indy 11 are back in action with their home opener at 7 pm. If you are heading to the match, be sure to keep the rain jacket handy. Low temperatures near 60 degrees.
TOMORROW: A few morning showers and storms are expected (this is not the severe threat). An enhanced (3/5) risk of severe weather is in place for the mid-afternoon into the overnight hours. All forms of severe weather are possible with damaging wind as the primary threat. We could see a couple of tornadoes, large hail, and localized flooding as well. The tornado threat is slightly higher in southern Indiana compared to the rest of the state. High temperatures in the low 70s.
7-DAY FORECAST: Some showers linger into Monday morning before we clear out and our temperatures fall. Rainfall amounts from Saturday through Monday morning will generally be between 0.5″and 1.50″. Another potent system is on the way for Wednesday. The Storm Prediction Center already has parts of Indiana in an enhanced risk of severe weather for that system.
