The (4) Hawaii Rainbow Warriors volleyball team hosted (11) UC San Diego on Friday for the 1st of 2 matches this weekend.
Hawaii in a tough match early as the 'Bows had 6 service aces in the 1st set that saw 12 ties and 7 lead changes. But late in the frame, Hawaii was able to put it together and
take the frame 25-21.
In set 2, the 'Bows with 15 kills and 1 ace to take the frame 25-21. The 2nd set saw 9 ties and 2 lead changes,
Than in the 3rd set, after 3 ties and 1 lead change early, it was all Hawaii. The 'Bows racking up 3 aces in the 3rd with 13 kills and 4 blocks to take it 25-18. Hawaii led at one point 21-13 in the 3rd frame.
With this one, the 'Bows have secured their 20th win of the season. Which marks the 14th time in program history UH has reached the 20 win mark in a single season.
Kristian Titriyski led the way with 16 kills, Louis Sakanoko added 13 kills.
The 'Bows win 3-0 and will hit the court tomorrow for the 2nd matchup against the Tritons at 7:00pm. ...read more read less
