Spring season boasts grand openings around Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- Throughout the weekend, new places to find good eats, gifts and even building supplies are hosting grand openings in Fort Wayne.
Saturday kicked off with the grand opening of Hoosier Hardwood Supply, a new local hardwood shop. At the open house, hosted Saturday, attend
ees get the chance to learn about the products, participate in discount drawings, connect with other woodworkers and enjoy BBQ and refreshments. The store opened its doors at 8 a.m. and will stay open until 1 p.m.
Hoosier Hardwood Supply is located at 3911 Mobile Avenue near Glenbrook Square Mall.
Create Joy, a new flower shop that creates ever-lasting bouquets through the use of sola wood, also opens Saturday. Sola wood is a sustainable and durable alternative to real flowers. Create Joy opens its doors at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Create Joy is located at 1516 N Wells Street in Wells Plaza just north of downtown Fort Wayne.

Sunday, Good Bread, a new bakery offering vegan and gluten-free treats, “catering to pastry lovers with dietary restrictions,” will host its grand opening. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. with free samples and first day specials going on until 2 p.m. or while supplies last.
You may recognize Good Bread For All from the YLNI Farmers Market, where they were a vendor last spring. According to the release, “The overwhelming response from the community inspired its growth into a full-scale bakery.”
