GASTONIA, N.C. – Two people were hospitalized after a house caught on fire in Gaston County on Friday afternoon.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. at a home on Twisted Oaks Lane near Crowders Mountain. The home was involved in heavy smoke and flames upon arrival.
Four people were inside the home at th
e time of the fire, two of which suffered burns and smoke inhalation.
One was transported to CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. The other was flown to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s Burn Center.
The Red Cross is aiding those displaced by the fire at this time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
