Man gets 12 years for selling fentanyl and firearms to undercover agents

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A Memphis man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for selling fentanyl and firearms to undercover Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agents.
Adrian Seymour, 38, was charged with possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of a mixture or su
bstance containing fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute a mixture or substance containing fentanyl, and carrying a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.
He pleaded guilty to these charges on Aug.13, 2024.
According to reports, in the summer of 2023, ATF agents received information that Adrian Seymour was distributing large amounts of fentanyl in Memphis.

The United States Attorney's Office for West Tennessee said in Aug. 2023 undercover ATF agents bought 1,000 fentanyl pills from Seymour for $5,000, and in Sept. 2023, ATF agents purchased two firearms and 100 fentanyl pills from the suspect for $1,000.
Authorities said in a press release, that ATF agents arrested Seymour, and was charged in federal court in West Tennessee in Oct. 2023. He was indicted by a federal grand jury in a seven-count indictment on November 2023.
Seymour pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing fentanyl, one count of possession with intent to distribute a mixture or substance containing fentanyl, and one count of carrying a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.
On Mar. 19, Seymour was sentenced to 12 years in prison with four years of supervised release. ...read more read less
