Great Crossing and Montgomery County to meet in the boy’s Final Four

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- Three local high school basketball teams entered Friday with a shot at the KHSAA Sweet Sixteen title, but two remain.
North Laurel’s run in the tournament ended despite Reece Davidson’s 16 fourth quarter points putting the pressure on Montgomery County. The In
dians, led by Cayden Reed’s team-high 29 points, outlasted the Jaguars and advance to the semifinals, 69-66.
Great Crossing etched its name in one more round after besting Cooper by 13 points, 49-36. Vince Dawson made 7/17 field goals to contribute to his team-high 20 points. UK commit Malachi Moreno had 13 tallies in all.
Here are the final games of the high school basketball season. All games are at Rupp Arena in Lexington.
Bowling Green vs South Oldham- 11 a.m.
Montgomery County vs Great Crossing- 1:30 p.m.
KHSAA Sweet Sixteen Title Game- 7:30 p.m.
