FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — After two years of Sulley the cat being missing from home, he was finally reunited with his owner.
Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control (FWACC) took in Sulley on Saturday from an owner who could no longer care for him. They were able to scan him for a microchip, which p
rovided the information needed to find his rightful owner.
After they contacted his original owner, she explained that she hadn't seen him for two years, and FWACC says she was so happy he was found.
This was all made possible by a microchip.

"This is a huge reminder of why we do what we do," Delaney Atkinson, Community Outreach Educator at FWACC, said. "Just how important it is to have that identification on your pets. Because if you think about any animal shelter, most of them are filled with a lot of animals, so the more pets that can have microchips, ID collars, we can get them home quicker."
Microchips are a permanent form of identification, making them the easiest way to get a pet back home.
FWACC offers microchipping for $15, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You do not need to be a resident of Allen County, but you do need to bring proof of a rabies vaccination. You can find more information on microchips on their website. ...read more read less
