BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The No. 3 LSU women's basketball team advanced to the Elite 8 after an 80-73 win over the No. 2 NC State Wolfpack on Friday. The Lady Tigers started off the first quarter strong with an 11-point lead. At the end of the first half, the Tigers were down by four, 36-40. The Lady Tigers ended the game with a 43% field goal percentage and a 3-point percentage of 25%. The Wolf Pack shot 38% and 32% for the 3-point percentage. Senior forward Aneesah Morrow secured 30 points, 19 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. The Tigers will advance to the Elite 8 to face the winner of the UCLA Bruins and Ole Miss Rebels.
