Police are searching for a crook who pilfered an elderly woman’s purse from her pew at a church in Brooklyn, cops said Friday. Around 1:30 p.m. last Sunday, the irreverent thief stole a 71-year-old woman’s purse from her seat inside St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church on E. 19th St. in Sheepshead Bay and fled to parts unknown, according to police.
