TOPEKA (KSNT) - Road crews will begin a resurfacing project on an eight-mile stretch of I-70 next week. Kate Craft with the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) said in a press release that workers will begin an eight-mile mill and overlay project on Tuesday, April 1. Work will take place f rom K-30 in Wabaunsee County through to Valencia Road in Shawnee County. KDOT workers will focus on the eastbound lanes initially, starting at K-30 and moving east towards Valencia Road. Workers will shift to the westbound lanes in the same area. Drivers will only be able to use one lane where crews are working on I-70. Some intermittent ramp closures should also be expected in the area of the project.
