Wet weather persists in New England amid ongoing drought conditions

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Despite some rain this month, we've been dealing with ongoing drought conditions since last fall.

We have had some wet weather recently and it looks like t
here is more to come as we head into the weekend. For March at Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, we've picked up 3.88 inches which is above the average of 3.5 inches.
That gives us a surplus of .38 inches. The Precipitation Outlook for the next 6 to 10 days is calling for wetter-than-average conditions across most of the country and that includes us here in New England as we head into the first week of April.
