A Sex Pistols reunion minus singer Johnny Rotten will play the band’s only studio album, “Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols,” on a North American tour that brings the legendary punk band to the Palladium in Hollywood on Oct. 16. The band includes three original members – guit arist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook, and bassist Glen Matlock – with British punk singer Frank Carter filling John Lydon’s role as the band’s original singer. The Sex Pistols have reunited with Lydon several times, first and most notably for the Filthy Lucre Tour in 1996. But Lydon’s interests shifted primarily to his post-Pistols’ band Public Image Ltd. and the band had not toured until 2024 when it connected with Carter for a run of shows in the United Kingdom that wowed fans and critics alike. The tour kicks off on Sept. 16 at the Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas, Texas, the site of a wildly chaotic show on the Sex Pistols’ first U.S. tour in 1978. “Live in the U.S.A.,” a live album recorded at the Longhorn Ballroom, was released on Friday, March 28.
