Man sentenced to 14 years for trafficking meth from California to Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was sentenced to 14 years in prison for trafficking drugs from California to a hotel in Richmond.
According to court documents, 47-year-old Kirkville Virgo, also known as Mark Thomas, and another person shipped methamphetamine from California to a hotel in Richmond, a
llegedly for a person named "Christopher Jackson."
Officials said on March 23, 2024, law enforcement intercepted a package that contained 10 heat-sealed bundles of meth weighing about 9,080 grams.
Agents then replaced about 18 pounds of methamphetamine with "sham" rock salt, leaving about two pounds of meth in the parcel, and performed a controlled delivery to the hotel, according to the Department of Justice.
Virgo reportedly entered the hotel later, used the name "Delbert Dujon" and took custody of the package from the front desk. Law enforcement then arrested Virgo.
According to the Department of Justice, Virgo was previously "permanently removed" from the United States on Feb. 5, 2013, and was in the United States illegally at the time of the offense.
Virgo was sentenced to 14 years in prison on Friday, March 28 for the attempt to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to officials. ...read more read less
