Virginia State Police seize 91 pounds of drugs, 19 guns in one week

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia State Police has recovered over 91 pounds of narcotics and 19 guns over the course of one week as part of its continuing statewide investigation.
From March 20 to March 27, state police and other law enforcement agencies continued their statewide investigation aimed
at addressing multiple crimes across Virginia, including the recovery of firearms and narcotics, as well as addressing human trafficking.

According to state police, the following is a summary of highlights from the investigation:
Firearm Recovery
19 firearms total were recovered at a value of $14,000
Narcotics Seizures
Total of 91.7 pounds of seized narcotics, as well as 76 controlled substance pills
The denied revenue of seized narcotics was valued at $2,691,959
Narcotics recovered: 9.77 pounds of cocaine, 0.25 ounces of crack cocaine, 8.50 pounds of marijuana, 66.35 pounds of methamphetamine, 12 OxyContin pills, 64 fentanyl pills
Explosive Devices Recovered
One explosive device was safely recovered and neutralized
Gaming Enforcement
Eight gaming-related tips received -- 1,400 total to date
Human Trafficking Investigations
12 additional human trafficking tips received — 779 total to date
198 cases investigated or currently being investigated
2,602 individual investigative activities
62 victims identified and offered services
