RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia Pridefest in Richmond will return to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in September -- with food, local artists, music and more. Pridefest, the biggest celebration of the community, will be held at Midtown Green from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, according to a social post from Virginia Pride, a program of Diversity Richmond, which connects to tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ people and its allies with events like Pridefest, the Diversity Richmond's website explains. Diversity Richmond says the free fest is the largest outdoor festival in Richmond and the largest celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in Virginia. Guests can secure a customized sponsorship package and show that their company supports the LGBTQ+ community here. The performers lineup and vendors have not been released yet. Last year's Pridefest included headliners Tank and the Bangas, Robin S and Crystal Waters and over 140 vendors.
