PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said that part of Gano Street in Providence will be closed on March 29 and March 30 for demolition of the Washington Bridge pier. The area at the Interstate 195 overpass will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a signed detou r for motorists and pedestrians will be in place. RIDOT added that from March 31 to April from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. alternating lane closures will be at the same location.
