OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt made an announcement regarding the 2028 Olympics at RIVERSPORT OKC on Friday afternoon. Back in June 2024, Holt announced plans to host the softball and canoe slalom events in Oklahoma City as part of the LA 2028 Olympic Games. The plans were still subject to approval by the Los Angeles City Council at that time. According to the official LA28 website, the LA City Council voted unanimously to approve the plans on Friday morning.
