HILO, Hawaii (KHON2) -- At the Aloha Ilio Rescue is hosting Cause for Paws – The Ulti-Mutt Adoption Event on Saturday, March 29, you can meet adoptable pets looking for homes.
There will all sorts of things for you to do and see that include free dog food (while supplies last), a pet boutique,
expert advice from trainers, fun activities for keiki, a photo booth and food trucks from more than 40 local vendors.
Hawaiʻi ranks 6th for delinquencies
Pet adoptions are the main priority for the event where you can meet adorable dogs and cats looking for their forever homes.
Free services will be provided that include a dog pantry, vaccines and deworming (provided by Good Karma Spay and Neuter Clinic), spay/neuter appointments (with PETFIX) and dog licensing and microchipping (by the County of Hawaiʻi).

There will be pet-friendly fun to be had all day where you can interact with the Ask a Trainer booth for expert pet advice and take snapshots at the Aloha Ilio Photo Booth, and keiki can learn with the pet education and coloring books options.

Shopping and food are available from more than 40 local vendors who will be selling pet and non-pet-related merchandise.

As always, well-behaved dogs are welcome as long as they remain leashed, are non-aggressive and remain under adult supervision.
