BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET)-- Newly released edited Body Worn Camera footage of the March 4th Virginia Avenue deputy-involved shooting. Sheriff deputies were dispatched to reports of a sexual assault of a minor when they contacted 42-year-old Homero Rosales Corona at Virginia Park. When deputies w alked up to him, as you can see Corona picked up a shotgun from behind a tree and put it behind his back. Deputies gave him multiple chances to drop the weapon. Deputies called out to Rosales multiple times in English and Spanish before the video shows Rosales pull the weapon out from behind his back. Deputies yelled to put it down and that nothing was going to happen to him. Medical aid was given to Rosales but he died on scene.
