BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The man accused of threatening Kern County Supervisor Jeff Flores exploded in anger at his first court hearing -- behavior which a court commissioner said played a role in her decision to order him held without bail.

Allen granted her request.
She said she gave weight to Pearl's comments, Buzzard's "aggressive and violent" behavior in court and highlighted one of the emails sent to Flores, in which a threat was made to "bash your (expletive) brains in."
After the hearing, Pearl said Buzzard, who was arrested Wednesday, faces a total of eight years and eight months in prison. ...read more read less
