Madison Township brush and yard waste dropoff program set to begin

Madison Township is continuing its annual tradition of offering Madison residents a place to deposit brush and yard waste, in the period stretching from spring through fall.
The township’s 2025 brush and yard waste drop-off program is slated to begin on April 5.
The drop-off site is located at the
Madison Township Service Department at 1747 Hubbard Road, behind Madison Joint Fire District Station No. 2.
This site is for Madison Township and Village residents only. Contractors are not allowed to participate.
The drop-off progam will be held on 14 Saturdays and 14 Wednesdays between April and November.
Saturday hours are from 8 a.m. to noon on the following dates:
• April 5 and 19
• May 3, 17 and 31
• June 14 and 28
• July 12
• Aug. 2 and 23
• Sept. 13 and 27
• Oct. 11
• Nov. 8
Wednesday hours are from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the following dates:
• April 16 and 30
• May 14 and 28
• June 11 and 25
• July 9 and 30
• Aug. 20
• Sept. 10 and 24
• Oct. 8 and 22
• Nov. 5
Acceptable types of waste are sticks and branches up to 8 inches in diameter, leaves, weeds, grass clippings, garden clean-up materials, and dead flowers and plants, according to a flier promoting the drop-off program.
All yard waste must be packed into brown paper lawn bags. Use of plastic garbage bags is prohibited.
Waste that will not be accepted includes railroad ties, metals, plastics, tires, scrap lumber and building materials.
