(KRON) – A loaded firearm and thousands of dollars in cash were found in a stolen Infiniti, according to the Piedmont Police Department.
Around midnight on Thursday, Piedmont police officers were alerted of a stolen 2024 Infiniti QX50 near Piedmont Avenue and 40th Street by an automated license
plate reader. Two people were in the SUV. The driver stopped at an ATM before officers detained the duo.

A loaded Glock 9mm handgun and $4,500 in cash were located in a search of the Infiniti, according to police.

Police discovered the driver was a convicted felon. The driver was arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail for multiple weapons violations and possession of the stolen/embezzled vehicle.
