(KRON) -- Police in Suisun City shot a person during an incident overnight Friday, according to authorities. Suisun City Police Department officers were contacting a person around 2:30 a.m. in the area of Bella Vista and Bluejay drives. “As a result of the incident, an officer discharged his dut y weapon,” police said. The unidentified person was struck by the gunfire and injured, according to SCPD. Authorities said medical aid was provided at the scene before the individual was transported to a local hospital. As of 7:41 a.m., police said a portion of Belle Vista Drive remained shut down for the investigation. The public is advised to avoid the area.
