Deputies Thursday Seized Equipment for Credit Card Skimmers

coln-Lancaster County Criminal Interdiction Unit.
Chief Deputy Sheriff Ben Houchin says deputies developed probable cause and got consent to search the vehicle, where they found a credit card skimming device, tools, numerous Visa Green Dot credit cards, and more than $17,000 in cash.

The driver, Mate Eross, 56, of Brooklyn, New York, and his passenger, Franklin Delgado, 43, of Orlando, Florida, were arrested on suspicion of felony unlawful possession of a skimming device. Both were booked into the Lancaster County Jail.
“We still have a lot of investigating to do to see what’s on the cards, how much money is on the cards and all that,” Chief Deputy Houchin said. “We do not know where they were going. They both told two different locations that they were traveling.”
Houchin added that notifications were sent to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as both men are in the country illegally.
